About Mrs. Palo
A brief bio...I was born in Denver, Colorado, and called Hawaii and Texas home before moving to Iowa City, Iowa, where I spent most of my youth. I attended the University of Northern Iowa for my undergrad work, and later obtained a Master's in School Administration from Aurora University. Recently I obtained a Library Science endorsement from ISU. My 4th grade students can attest to my love of reading!!

I live in Gurnee with my husband Bill and our two children, Ava and Wyatt. When I'm not at school, I love to read and travel.
It's been a pleasure to have called Woodview home for the past 18 years. During my time at Woodview, I've taught Kindergarten, first grade, and now 4th grade. 4th Grade has definitely been my favorite grade to teach!

I grew up in the area and went to Grayslake Central when it was the only GL high school. I attended Northern Illinois University on a soccer scholarship and enjoyed the expereience of being a collegiate student athlete. I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Reading, both from NIU. GO Huskies.

I still live in the area....my husband Steve and I met at Woodview School, he used to teach PE here. We have two incredbile children, Mia and Brady, as well as an adorable dog, Lola.

I have been teaching for a total of 13 years, the last 9 here at Woodview. I love the Woodview community and how it has become an extension of my family. When I'm not teaching I love kickboxing and crafting. Pinterest is my happy place. :)
